Our special projects & innovation team includes building modern cloud based applications, integrations,  stream processing,  AI & ML based solutions, as well as a highly-technical  project team, focused on revamping our architecture & building microservices.

Position Overview

We're looking for Staff Software Engineering Managers with strong leadership who are result oriented and influencers . We value people who can quickly obtain a deep technical understanding of new domains, solve complex problems and manage career paths of engineers/managers.

You’ll play a senior managerial role in helping drive forward our cross-functional scrum team of engineers, development managers, product/program managers, designers, and QA to develop easily testable and understandable solutions for internal & external use. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the design and development of new cloud-based software architectures
  • Own and deliver through your team complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability and deployment
  • Provide feedback pertaining to technical designs, proposals and code
  • Analyze existing applications / databases and identify areas for improvement
  • Design inputs and contribute to APIs that can support user experiences on web and mobile applications
  • Collaborate with and mentor engineers/ engineering managers while also conducting code reviews to ensure consistent design patterns are being applied
  • Hire, groom, and manage talented engineers and managers who are passionate about solving great problems.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building web applications, APIs and backend systems
  • 3+ years of experience in managing individual contributors/managers
  • Fluent in the .NET tech stack (C#, .NET and / or .NET Core, SQL) or other high-level language (e.g. Java, C++), and are also not afraid to take on other new technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud technologies such as: EC2, S3, Lambda, Docker, SQS, SNS, Kafka, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Experience with Service Oriented and Microservice architectures
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Familiar with client-side frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experienced in building CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep understanding of security, testing, documentation, and/or monitoring best practices
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
