The Senior Manager of Internal Communications is a vital member of the People team, defining, implementing, and scaling internal communications across the company. The Sr. Manager of Internal Communications will have the primary responsibility of driving the development and execution of Collectors internal communications program. This role will be expected to quickly gain a nuanced understanding of the company’s business priorities and various employee populations and ensure that Collectors’ internal communications methods and infrastructure are able to meet the needs of this quickly evolving organization. The ideal candidate loves to build, thrives in ambiguity, is flexible and adaptable to change, moves quickly, and can demonstrate excellent strategic communication skills to deliver messages across all levels of the organization. This is an opportunity to join a People organization in the beginning stages of expansion, while partnering with senior leaders to drive a highly visible internal communications program. 

This role can be located at our Headquarters in Santa Ana, California, Jersey City, New Jersey, or remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of an integrated, strategic internal communications program that aligns with Collectors’ business priorities and values to help shape employee engagement and culture
  • Evaluate sources, infrastructure, and methodologies currently used to deliver employee communications, and designs a holistic communications platform
  • Design, edit, and oversee distribution of internal communication materials via company newsletters, intranet, emails/memos, webcasts, employee meetings, etc. 
  • Responsible for managing content, program and speakers for company events, including quarterly all hands, monthly AMAs, etc.
  • Partner with business leaders to help communicate changes to business strategy and share key wins/milestones with the company as part of broader efforts to keep employees educated about our business
  • Develop standards and guidelines for style and content
  • Use creative storytelling methods to bring out an authentic company voice across emails, videos, presentations and other communications
  • Implement metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communications

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 8+ years experience in communications  
  • Deep experience designing and delivering internal communications for a variety of stakeholders and audiences
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, as well as verbal presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex topics from multiple angles, and translate those concepts into understandable and creative narratives
  • Must possess excellent organizational, planning and project management skills. Thrives on getting things done both quickly and accurately.
  • A team player with a “can do attitude,” with the ability to forge great relationships across the organization
  • Practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
