We’re looking for a Benefits Manager to join our newly established Total Rewards team to help grow and evolve our Benefits in alignment with our Total Rewards Philosophy. The Benefits Manager will play a key role to further develop an inclusive and comprehensive Benefits strategy across the US, and Globally. as a critical part of our plan to attract and retain the talent needed to achieve our goals. In the short-term, this includes consideration for modifications to policies related to Leave of Absence, Disability, Paid Leave, and Wellness. On the longer-term roadmap, you’d have the opportunity to advance our medical and 401(k) plans in terms of both plan design and how we engage our employees to fully understand and utilize these benefits. This role will partner closely with People Team Business Partners, Shared Services, the HRIS Team, and all employees as part of designing, communicating, and administering all of our Benefit programs. This is an exciting time to join the Collectors team because we are in a period of rapid growth, and we have an opportunity to build our Total Rewards Philosophy and enhance our Benefits programs in a way that has a meaningful impact on the Company’s future growth. This is a high-impact role with potential for the successful candidate to grow and develop significantly with the rest of the Collectors team.

You’ll report to the Director Total Rewards and can work from our Santa Ana office. Remote candidates will also be considered.

What You’ll Do

  • Partners with the Director, Total Rewards and Benefits Brokers in evaluating and comparing existing company benefits with market data to understand competitive position and develop recommendations accordingly. Participates in area and industry surveys. 
  • Installs new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees.
  • Serves as a regular lead contact for inquiries from leadership, insurance vendors, Benefits Brokers, and/or third party administrators to ensure both good service level and value.
  • Manages the overall Leave of Absence process, including administration of Paid Leave in coordination with State and Company funded programs. 
  • Oversees members of the Shared Services team to manage the overall enrollment process and handle benefit inquiries to ensure timely, fair, and friendly resolution.
  • Analyzes Benefits utilization and tailors communication plans to drive plan migration and increase utilization accordingly.
  • Ensures compliance of all Benefits as defined in plan documents and summary plan descriptions. Supervises preparation of reports and applications to be filed with federal and state agencies. In coordination with Benefits Brokers and Legal, reviews and analyzes changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and reports necessary or suggested changes to management. 

Who You Are 

  • 7+ years of professional experience, with Benefits Manager experience and Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Attention to detail and auditing
  • Analytical problem solver that enjoys using market data to inform plan design
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with different groups including leadership, employees, Benefits Brokers, third party administrators, and auditors
  • Employee friendly orientation with desire to help employees understand and utilize our Benefits
  • Process oriented leader that ensures consistency in approach and administration across all Benefits

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $101,549 - $164,867. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
