We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our Operations team to manage department staff and ensure that all team members are properly trained and working at the highest capacity. The manager is responsible for ensuring that items are recognized accurately, the team works with efficiency and that departmental goals are regularly met.
This role reports to the Director of Operations and will be on-site based out of our Jersey City, NJ (Harborside) location.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the safety, staffing, training, and performance of the Post-Grading Operations Teams.
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
- Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
- Assist with recruiting/hiring when necessary.
- Develop goals and create/drive action plans to ensure quality & production targets are achieved and customer promise is met.
- Plan & Allocate resources to ensure departmental/business objectives are met.
- Create effective solutions for issues that arise within the departments.
- Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce.
- Lead large-scope projects with site and company impact.
- Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders/Sr. Leaders.
- Lead by example and be a champion of all company policies, including safety, attendance & security.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of professional experience including 3+ years in a manufacturing (or related) environment and 1+ years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, including an ability to understand and relay company policies/procedures.
- Dependable and personable team player who works well with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Data-driven problem solver with an understanding of general business implications of decisions.
- Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment with little room for error.
- Influential leader who can inspire/motivate others and effectively drive change within the department.
- Strong project management and planning/organizational skills; ability to develop and execute realistic action plans.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within trading cards, tickets and other forms of sports and non-sports collectibles.
The salary range for this position is $94,027-$152,655. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
