Our engineering mission is to democratize technology while promoting innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning throughout the organization. We're seeking engineers to utilize advanced technology in agile settings, with a focus on improving the customer experience for every collector.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, with back-end and preferably full stack experience, to join our agile teams in our rapidly expanding product aligned organization.  This team works with our operations team to enhance our internal software for grading operations as well as development of new cloud-based software architectures and microservices. You’ll report to the Director of Engineering and work from our Santa Ana, CA  office or remote*.

*Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the design and development of new cloud-based software architectures as well as internal software for operations.
  • Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability and deployment
  • Provide feedback pertaining to technical designs, proposals and code
  • Analyze existing applications / databases and identify areas for improvement
  • Design and contribute to APIs that can support user experiences on web and native applications
  • Collaborate with and mentor engineers while also conducting code reviews to ensure consistent design patterns are being applied

Who You Are:

  • 4-5 years of back-end software engineering experience, full stack experience building web applications, APIs, scalable and distributed systems is a plus
  • Strong coding skills, must have C#/.Net experience, fluent in Python, Java, or other high-level language, not afraid to take on new technologies
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with cloud technology especially with serverless computing, and event driven architecture. AWS-cloud experience preferred.
  • Experience with Service Oriented and Microservice architectures
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Familiar with client-side frameworks, such as Vue.js or React.
  • Proficient at using appropriate security, testing, documentation, and/or monitoring best practices
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Computer Science or Related field educational background preferred

The salary range for this position is $150,000-$210,000. Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
