Our dynamic Internal Platform team builds and maintains a robust and scalable platform that underpins Collectors’ engineering teams by providing IT, Networking, CloudOps, DevOps, Database, and QA best practices in turn enabling rapid, secure and stable application delivery.

About the role:

The Network Engineer’s role is to ensure the proper management, stability and integrity of the global network (LAN, WAN). This is achieved by planning, designing, and implements forward looking network technologies across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training. 

This position will report to the Director of IT and be located in our Santa Ana office. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration especially for the high impact projects, which takes place on site and this person will be driving. Thus, we are only considering candidates that can be in office 2/3 days a week to perform project and maintenance work. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

What you Will Do:

  • Configure company global networks to ensure their available and stable operation for fulfilling Collectors goals and objectives.  
  • Maintain network observability and escalate incidents following company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SD-WAN, LAN, WiFi networks, distribution switches, core switches and central networks, cloud connectivity. 
  • Ensure network connectivity of all users. 
  • Maintain a state of constant network availability.   
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.  
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.  
  • Participate in managing all network security solutions in alignment with the Information Security team (InfoSec). 
  • Onsite field work, racking, stacking, installing and configuring network appliances. 
  • Perform network and security audits, and system backups and recovery. 

Who You Are: 

  • Proven experience and success with SD-WAN, LAN, WAN, WLAN design and implementation in global network environments.  
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.  
  • Advanced level knowledge in Cisco routing and switching. 
  • Advanced level knowledge in Cisco and Meraki wireless technologies.
  • Good knowledge of firewall and security.
  • Good understanding about Cisco network management tool DNA Center (Catalyst), Automation experience is a plus.
  • Good understanding about SD-WAN. Knowledge of Cato SD-WAN preferred.
  • Good understanding about F5 load balancer with Local Traffic Management.
  • Excellent hardware and network troubleshooting experience.  
  • Competence with network testing tools.  
  • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.  
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.  
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.  
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.  
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.  
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail.  
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.  
  • Strong customer service orientation.  
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
  • Required certifications: Cisco (CCNP) 
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Advance Networking - Specialty

The salary range for this position is $122,087-$161,460. Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
